Picnics at the playground are always a good time, and I was also indoctrinated into a place I was unfamiliar with. Monkey Joe's. We don't have MJ's up here in Ohio (though we do have Chucky Cheese, which I've not been to in awhile). If you've never been, it's basically a building full of inflatable slides, climbing and bouncy fun. And, the best part? The adults can "help" the kids in the play areas. Translation: We get to have fun too! Climbing through the squishy, bouncy inflatable jungle gyms was surreal.

And then there was trick-or-treating. What a blast! I wish I could have dressed up too! Alas, I'm a little too old to get any candy, but we did accompany a certain little firedude as he made his way around the neighborhood on his first Halloween experience.

And a scary disembodied head captured by my honey:

The whole extended weekend, with it's playtime, reading children's books (try reading one fish two fish as a bedtime story after a few glasses of wine, not so easy), costumes and late night Guitar Hero marathons was just what I needed.
Maybe I'll break out a coloring book today. Or create a piece with crayons. Who knows! Sky is wide-open when we reconnect with our kid-selves. Play time indeed!

What fun! I would love to go to one of those places and play like a kid again. :)
Cool! Play time!!
I watched a really good film last night, "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium". The Swedish title is actually The Magic Toystore.
Anyway, it had loads of good energy, cool quotes and magic.
