Features! - or - Your Regular Saturday Night Thing

Okay, I couldn't help myself with the Roadhouse reference in the title.

But this post isn't about Roadhouse (if you are familiar with MST3K and Riff Trax, I highly recommend the Roadhouse Riff Trax).

Back to the topic at hand...

This post is about lending my blog a bit of regularity. Ahem. I've noticed some trends in the topics I like to talk about and being a gal that needs routine in her life, I've decided to bring you a more focused version of Jennyfur's Sketchbook and Oddities. Here's the battle plan:

Monday: Inspiration for the Week – There are so many things that can inspire one's work, be it fellow artists, music, books, film, fashion, food or design. Each Monday I will share a bit of what I find inspiring.

Tuesday: Fave Etsy Finds – I'm a sucker for Etsy. I can spend hours just stumbling around from page to page, shop to shop, hearting everything in my path. Tuesday's are for sharing the love.

Wednesday: Creative Stretching – Mid-week we can all use a little creative bump when our inspiration slumps. Awhile back I shared a page from my sketchbook in which I played with an exercise from Caffeine for the Creative Mind. Each Wednesday I'll feature a new mini-project (from various sources) that will help to stretch those creative muscles!

Thursday: Random Wackiness – For all those little bits that don't fit anywhere else and a warm-up for the care-free fun of the weekend.

Friday: Felting Fun – Each Friday I will share a new felt artist, what I've been working on or a tip for working with wool. There is a lot of great info out there, but it's not easy to find!

Saturday: Sketchbook Pages – In honor of what I originally intended this blog to be, Saturdays will be for sharing pages from my sketchbooks, past and present. This is where you will meet the really weird stuff.

Sunday: New Work – Each Sunday I will round-up the week's creative output, new offerings, auctions and projects. I also plan to offer some special give-aways, treats and surprises!

So there you have it. Check back later today for my first official installment of Creative Stretching!

Sounds like a winner to me! I'll tune in. Know what you mean about Etsy - I can lose a few hours easily!

I applaud you and, although already fairly regular, need to do this with both my blogs.
