I have a continuous stream of sound in my studio, be it Pandora, Last.fm., my music collection, or horses neighing next door as the Amish work on a house. When I feel a bit antsy with music or really need to crack down and get to work, I love to delve into some podcasts. Here are a few of my favorites...

Instant escape! If you aren't familiar with Rick, I recommend checking out his website, PBS program, and new book/lecture series, Travel as a Political Act.

I mentioned author Daniel Pinkwater a ways back. His podcast includes readings of his books as well as some fun music and interesting, odd tidbits.

Short, frackin' hilarious videos from Sarah Haskins of infoMania. I've always been hyper-aware of the ridiculous way women are portrayed in advertising, but have never laughed so hard at it's inanity as I have watching her segments. Some of my favorites include Hair, Laundry, and You're Old.
