Lately, my life has felt a bit like the upturned basket of kitty toys in the photo above. Colorful, fun, busy, chaotic and a bit messy. In the past I've reacted to such insanity with a clenched jaw, hunched shoulders and a furrowed brow as I plow through the mess, doing too many things at once and nothing terribly well.
Today, I am experimenting with a different attitude towards my current upturned toy box which involves a lot more breathing, smiling and appreciation for a life full of interesting projects, challenges and opportunities.
As Art Every Day Month ramps up, I look forward to the challenge of sharing a bit of art and creativity along the way. Here is a view of my desk and a current work in progress:

nice approach. i dig. i also really like the composition of your work-in-progress painting. very nice.
I am in big need of an attitude change myself. My mantra nowadays seems to be "I don't have time".
About your comment - "I love the fact that she completely believed the cat had the dress to go dancing. :)"
I'm glad you reacted to that & not to the fact that *I* believed it since it honestly was the first thing I thought had happened and I'm, um, waaay more than two and a half years old :D
Maria-Thérèse – Heehee... actually, I think it is kind of fun to believe that a kitty would steal a dress for a night on the town ;) such imaginings keep us young!
I'm trying to change my attitude too!!! LOVE your watercolor!!! Beautiful start!!!!
